The
101st has 33 Kits of Mobi-Mat in use by our aviators they Love it
and it is so easy to install – that now the aviators actually do
it themselves (believe me – this means it is EASY to do).

the cost of the four aircraft (and the blades and engines that have been unduly
worn and will need replacement soon) we could have purchased enough mobi-mat
for both 101st and 3ID (M).

We can and have build landing zones in one afternoon
utilizing traditional Marine tenacity and Mobi-Mats thus
allowing for safe landing without concern of Brown out.

Once on site they (The Marines) either spent few hours
setting up Mobi-Matting LZz or approximately 3 days setting
up more robust AM2 matting or gravel LZs..

The Expeditionary Airfield (EAF) Team at NAVAIR Lakehurst directly
supports deployed Marines as part of both OEF and OIF with a new airfield
surfacing system for rotary wing aircraft know to its developers as the mobi-mat.

awesome in Iraq – for FARPS or even for landing pads at the hospitals... We
appreciate the help and truthfully – the lives you probably saved by allowing

The best and fastest method to meet the demand for helipads was to install
Mobi-Mats pads. Fast to emplace and extremely effective, this material should
be purchased in sufficient quantities and issued to both divisional and EAD
Engineer units – PRIOR to crossing the line of departure.

The entire mobi-mat kit is far more field expedient than the previous
Mo-Mat kit. The cage it comes in makes for easy embarkation whether it is
on an MTVR, storage or being placed on a ship. I would highly recommend this
gear to any unit with Landing Support Marines and/or the potential for amphibious
operations.
